Future-Proof Your Home

It’s true that we can’t plan for everything the future will bring. We do, however, know what types of wiring will be most useful. Pre-wiring also allows homeowners a little room for growth. Perhaps you don’t want surveillance cameras right now, but with the proper wiring in place you can add them in a snap.

Resale Value

Maybe you’re not an audiophile, but the next person buying your house could be. When buyers are making the tough decision about which house to buy, the home that gives them flexibility and options for home theater, communications  and security needs will show better than non-wired comparable homes.

Clean Look

Have you ever seen the back of a DIY home theater setup? It’s usually a tangle of wires. If you’re lucky, the display is large enough to hide most of them, but it can still look like an unruly mess.

In larger homes, you don’t want wires and cables running along the floor and distracting from your interior design. Cabling structures exist within the walls to minimize their appearance. The result is a cleaner, more stylish home.

Easy Maintenance

Even the most sophisticated systems require maintenance from time to time. Imagine servicing a system in which any cable can connect to any device. That’s when a relatively simple project becomes an hours-long endeavor.

Structured cabling is essentially a way to organize the multitude of wires running throughout your home. Once the system is designed and installed, any expert can come in and easily maintain or update it. The job is done quicker so you can get back to focusing on what matters.

Simple Scalability

Any smart home system is a work in progress. Whether you’ve chosen a one-room solution, or you’ve automated your entire property, you want to leave room for adding more devices as needed.

In a structured cabling setup, scalability is easy. Your installer will know quickly how to install new devices and how to make the appropriate connections, so you’ll get to enjoy the technology sooner.

Hide Wires

Prewiring not only hides cables, it allows you to create a centralized hub. You can stack and store equipment, like AV receivers and amplifiers, in one place. Better yet, you can have it all located in a conveniently located closet or cabinet that is out of sight.

Protect Your Paint Job

You can retrofit a home with wiring. It’s not an incredibly complicated process, but you may have to open up walls to get the job done. If repairing drywall and repainting is not high on your priority list, consider running the wires before those walls go up.
